Fezzes, Amy Ponds, Ten, Elevenses and scarves galore!

Gallifrey One hosts the best Doctor Who convention in town.  For me, it is THE best convention.  I have been to many, but there is something different about this one.  I don't know if it's the fact that it's run by fans, or that the celebrity guests seem to have as much fun as the attendees, or it's all about the creative cosplay or perhaps it's just because Doctor Who has the best fandom around.  Whatever it is, I am a better person to have experienced it.
Here are a few of my favorite things...
Little adorable Eleven
Last of the Timelords
 Gorgeous TARDIS dress
 Sarah John
Captain Jack is dead!  Or is he?
You've just saved the universe.  What are you going to do now?
Take the TARDIS to Disneyland, of course!
A fully equipped Eleven
A real K-9
Amy Ratcliffe is the Doctor's new companion
TARDIS Tara and Louis Trapani
Chris Hardwick dressed as Ten filming for the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson
The Fez's Revenge
Tiki Dalek
My favorite Masquerade costume was The Next Doctor and her
"Tethered Aerial Release Developed IStyle"
Gary Russell interviews producer Tracie Simpson
Clayton Hickman interviews one of my favorite writers, Gareth Roberts
Jane Espenson and Doris Egan discuss writing for Torchwood.
Torchwood is in good hands with these two.
Doctor Who Podshock interviews Waris Hussein.
He directed the episode that started it all, An Unearthly Child.
 Peter Davison loves his companions

Con!!!!!!!!!

I realize I have been neglecting my blog as of late.  In the past couple of weeks I attended the San Diego Comic-Con and the Star Trek Las Vegas Con.  Too busy being nerdy more than usual I guess. I took a ton of photos at both Cons so here are the highlights. For Comic-Con I decided to do a little photo project instead of just taking the typical Con photos.  Prior to Comic-Con I had just finished crocheting a Bender for some friends who live across the pond.  I thought it would be fun to have one last romp in the U.S. before he began his life over in the U.K and have him take photos with various writers, actors, toys and costumers.

Here he is with Big Daddy Bender
If you'd like to see more of Bender's adventures click on the slideshow below.  It includes meeting the writer of Scott Pilgrim Bryan Lee O'Malley and comedian Peter Serafinowicz!
And this highlight that occurred at the Star Trek Con happened must unexpectedly.  I caught The Shat photobombing a group of unsuspecting costumers.
It was Picture of the Day over at TrekMovie.com on August 14, 2010 and this moment will most likely be in his current movie in production called Captains!
You can read the full article here.
Another fantastic highlight was being able to attend a photography seminar by Leonard Freaking Nimoy.  I have enjoyed his work for sometime now which you can see here http://www.rmichelson.com/Artist_Pages/Nimoy/pages/Leonard-Nimoy-Gallery.html.  When I heard he would be talking about his latest project called Secret Selves I jumped at this rare chance to learn directly from one of my idols.
If you'd like you can view all the photos from the Star Trek Con over on my Flickr.

Live long and prosper.
