Interval House is a wonderful program that helps out victims of domestic violence. Last week, I donated my photographic services to a fundraiser event hosted by Anything Fresh at the Detroit Bar to help raise funds for this courageous organization.
Helping out was an all female line-up of music, art and food. Among them were the talented Spare Parts for Broken Hearts that played their hearts out and Song's Crepes that spinned crepes to everyone's delight. A raffle was held for various art pieces such as paintings, jewelry, bags and companies like Sam Ash, Urban Decay, Volcom, etc. donated goodies all for a good cause.
Here are a few photos from the night.

One day I got an e-mail from fellow photographer Brian C. Janes asking me if I was interested in shooting a couples shoot for some friends of his since he would be busy with his current project All That Glitters, I said hell ya. And when he said they were interested in shooting at the Salton Sea, I said HELLZ YA!
I have always wanted to shoot at the Salton Sea. The dead salt-encrusted fish, the creepy abandoned houses and that smell. If that doesn't scream romance I don't know what does. Seriously, it's the perfect landscape.
Jade and Charlie are a beautiful couple whose love for each other is apparent but against that post-apocalyptic atmosphere it became magical. I had an amazing time with these two.
Thanks to Jade and Charlie! And a big thanks to Brian for getting us together.
